I could not stop listening to this audiobook.  It’s 8 hours long and I finished it in a day because I.  Could not. Stop. Listening. If you like listening to podcasts, you are going to like this audiobook.  Period. In fact, if you like podcasts, you can actually listen to half of this book in podcast form. Let me back up.

Here’s the need to know background:  Sadie’s life has been difficult. Mom has never been much of a mom.  A heroin addict who is always looking for a man to take care of her, she gives birth to Sadie but a kindly neighbor, the grandmotherly, Maybeth, does more to raise...

Priya plays the Gamora role (except sweet), Gram is Groot (but human), Imogen is Mantis, and Saffron the Red Panda is Rocket Raccoon.  Omg, so much fun. I might be the only one who gets this carried away with the comparison (and surely the author didn’t intend it) but it makes me happy, so yeah. The camaraderie among this crew is so f...

In the prologue, Queen Rielle is in the throes of a painful and violent childbirth. When her daughter is finally born, the Queen thrusts the baby into the hands of seven-year-old, Simon (the healer’s son) and begs him to use his secret, special, half-human, half-angel time and space-time traveling powers to get the prin...
